Sussex Library
The Sussex Library has a variety of books and DVDs on parenting topics including helping your child with reading or math, child development, talking to your child about various topics and more.  You can browse the Sussex Library catalog from home by clicking here. (link to destiny.bcps.org) 

The Sussex Library is open to parents Monday mornings from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.  Not available?  You may also call (410) 887-0182 to request a time that better fits your schedule.  A library card is not needed; books can be borrowed under your child’s name, and they are due back two weeks from the sign out date.

Databases
Sussex parents and students can access Baltimore County Public School databases by clicking here http://www.bcps.org/offices/lis/feebased These are the same databases your child will use during their Library special and to do research projects.  Please encourage your child to practice and explore these databases at home.

Databases appropriate for primary grades (PK-2) include: Brain Pop Jr., Tumblebooks, World Book Kids, and Spelling Bee (with assistance).  Intermediate grades (3-5) will be using America the Beautiful, Brain Pop/Brain Pop Espanol, CultureGrams, Net Trekker, Sirs Discoverer, World Book Student, World Book Student Spanish and Spelling Bee.
